A space to remember
Thank you for being here. This space has been created with love to celebrate the life of Margaret Fordwoh — affectionately known to her family as Akua Maggie — a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. From Bekwai in Ghana to a long life in London, she held her family together with quiet strength, warm hospitality and deep faith. We invite you to share in her story and in the many memories of a life beautifully and fully lived.

A life of strength and faith
Born in Bekwai, Ghana on 2 September 1939, Margaret was the fifth of six children. She attended the Anglican School in Bekwai — where Kofi Annan was among her classmates — before building a life for her children and, in 1975, settling permanently in London.
She married Michael Fordwoh in 1980 and made their Brentford home the centre of four generations of family — a place of open doors, good food and steady faith.
